To inform the design of the Kintore Hydrogen project, contractors will be carrying out ground investigation works on behalf of Statera, starting W/C 15th July, for approximately 4-6 weeks (weather dependent).
Works will begin at the River Don and continue towards Leylodge, involving a number of trial pits, drilling boreholes and ground condition sampling in locations of the project infrastructure. Although there will be no requirement to close roads, the public road network will be used to transport equipment where necessary.
These works are part of the ongoing development and iteration of the project proposals. The consultation period for our second round of engagement remains open and we encourage members of the local community to share their views on the proposals by 19th July.
A planning application for the project will be submitted later this year and will to be determined by Aberdeenshire Council.
