Proposals, milestones and reports
The Kintore Hydrogen development proposal is for a facility for the production of green hydrogen by electrolysis. The project is proposed to be powered by renewable energy, supplied from SSEN’s Kintore Substation, and water from the River Don, for which the project has secured an abstraction licence by SEPA. The facility will be connected to the Substation and river by underground pipelines, the development of which are included within the proposal.
The hydrogen produced will be injected into the network of pipes running underground close to the proposed electrolyser site.
